Vermicomposting

One of my goals for this winter break was to start a compost in my home backyard that my mom could easily maintain while I'm away at school (ie not the kind of compost we do at Oxy). I looked into it and it seems that the best solution is worms. I ordered 250 red manure worms and they will come in the mail tomorrow. The composter is coming on wednesday and we've already started collecting food to feed our new little babies. The whole process seems pretty easy and we will definitely implement a worm compost into the garden this semester, enabling us to use a TON MORE food-prep waste from the Marketplace.
Can't wait to see you all!
