We had one of our first official meetings about the feast farm on Friday and it went really well. The best part was how many great ideas and how much enthusiasm everyone had. We broke in to smaller groups to make concrete steps toward breaking the dirt.
One group is talking to Oxy facilities about possible partnerships in that department. Another is learning what it takes to be an organic garden and what we want to plant in the first month. We have people working on grants and Alexina and I made some fliers and sign up sheets for club day. Beyond the people who are helping to launch F.E.A.S.T I have talked to so many students who can't wait to be a part of it. With so much energy and interest it boggles my mind that a farm doesn't already exist on campus.
