This was a great week for the club. With the help of Bruce Steele (head of facilities) we broke dirt on the compost pile!
We completed the first pile (of three or more to come). Next week we are meeting on Thursday at noon to build a second pile and nail down dimensions for the raised beds. We are also going to make our voices heard at the ASOC funding meeting on Tuesday at 7 in Fowler 111 to make sure we have the funds to build the beds.
We might very well have a few beds set up and some plants in the ground by the end of the semester!
